Meet Terri, the Wedding Sales Specialist Downingtown Country Club

Terri graduated from Johnson and Wales University in Rhode Island where she majored in Hotel and Restaurant Management.  Her first job right out of college, she worked for a wonderful General Manger that told her “You be great at selling events!”  Immediately after that she was promoted from Restaurant Manager to Catering Manger.  She always loved doing events, but after her first weeding she was hooked! She just loves being a part of planning a couple’s most important day of their lives.

Aside from love being a part of the planning process, Terri’s favorite part of the wedding day is the first dance.  In her words “The couple is nervous at first but as their dance begins, the guests fade away, and it is just the two of them. It is the perfect way to start the rest of their lives together.”

One fun fact about Terri is that she has lived in 11 states and 3 countries.  Her favorites are the ones where she was close to the water.  When she is not at her venue you can find her spending time with her family either kayaking or at the beach.  She is at the most peace when she is one or near the water!

She cries almost every time, that is why she loves what she does!

Kate graduated from Wilmington University for Business Management.  The wedding/event industry had always been something she had an interest in, but she never really knew how to get started. After taking a few courses geared toward event sales/management, she was hooked!

Kate’s absolute favorite part of a wedding day is getting to spend the few moments with the bride or groom right before
they walk down the aisle. She said that the couple is usually always a bit nervous, so she likes to distract them with questions
about how they met each other, how they proposed, etc.  It eases the nerves and helps put the focus on their partner a
nd love story right before they make it official!

One fun fact about Kate is that her favorite movie is Pretty Woman.

Ultimately, Riley began to build a passion for event sales, and with that she took a chance and made it her career!

Riley’s favorite part of a wedding day are the bridal party entrances into the reception.
She says “it really shows everyone’s personalities”, “all the nervous jitters they had throughout the day, are over with so they can finally celebrate their love with everyone.”
