Now the planning starts, and it can be overwhelming. Just keep these few things in mind and the stress can become fun.

First, start with the big things…Date and Venue. These two-things go hand in hand. Take some time to set the perfect season, month, and day of the week for your wedding.

Now, the most important piece of advice I can give you, be flexible. Not “settle” there is a difference. Flexibility can be the key to not loosing your mind. Remember there are professionals wedding vendor that can help you every step of the way. This is what we do for a living. We are here to help. Now that you have a venue, the venue wedding specialist/planner can be your greatest source of knowledge. They have done this before, you haven’t. Go to them with your ideas, colors, theme, overall vision. They will be able to guide you and bring your vision to life.

Next, don’t get overwhelmed with the small stuff. Give yourself a timeline on when things need to get done and decisions made. Get a planner. It will help you stay organized. Small goals and steps will help you get things done and not feel daunting. Set a day and time each week to just something wedding related and before you know it, your planning and having fun doing it.

Lastly, as you are planning and you start to feel out of control, always and I mean always, take a moment when things are the craziest to remember the most important part about your wedding…you are marrying the love of your life, and nothing is better than that!
