Downingtown Country Club Wedding | Courtney And Mike

Just as winter was blossoming into spring, we were so honored to celebrate Courtney and Mike’s wedding at the Downingtown Country Club outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This sweet couple said their vows outside, in front of their nearest and dearest, with the lush green backdrop the perfect compliment to the elegant blues of their bridal party. Their special day was made extra special because they were able to share it with Mike’s grandmother, who passed away just weeks later. After the ceremony (performed by her high school math teacher!), guests enjoyed a cocktail hour on the porch before moving inside to continue the celebration with dinner and dancing. A few unique nibbles included mini grilled cheese with a shot of tomato soup and a s’mores bar for an after dinner snack! Yes to all, please.

One of my favorite things about weddings is to see how the bride and groom are able to weave their personalities into many details throughout the day. I mean it when I say every wedding different because every couple is unique. I love to learn about how they met, how the proposal happened and why they chose certain elements for their wedding day. The colors, the dress, the vows, the florals, the food – all help tell the story of the newlyweds.

Courtney and Mike’s personalities compliment each other perfectly. She is bubbly and sweet, while Mike is laid back and funny. Their entire wedding day was full of special touches, from the gorgeous details of Courtney’s dress to the sparkly kicks she changed into for dancing.  From funny and heartfelt toasts to the photo booth with its endlessly entertaining props. From the autographed football (Eagle’s #7 Ron Jaworski!) Mike received from Courtney’s father to the yummy cake pop favors placed at each guest’s seat.

We had a fun day with this dynamic duo, here are a few of our favorites
